Former Coast Guard director held on graft charges

Mustafizur, a resigned Naval force Skipper, was captured from his Dhaka home on Monday for a situation recorded 18 years prior, said ACC Appointee Executive Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya.

On Sep 29, the ACC captured the previous chief general of the Drift Monitor and now BNP pioneer, resigned Commodore Shafiq-ur-Rahman.

Mustafizur served as an executive of Drift watch in the late 90s when Shafiq served as the head of the constrain.

In 1998, the Counter Debasement Department recorded a body of evidence against Shafiq and five others, blaming them for contribution in offering without end 11,100 metric ton of wheat implied for the Drift Monitor.
