Police said the mishap happened in Patrgram Upazila around 7am on Monday on the Lalmonirhat-Burhimari expressway, said Patgram police OC Abani Shankar.

The casualties have been recognized as 25-year-old Hafez Dalwar Hossain, 23-year-old Hafez Abdus Sattar, and 10-year-old Labib Hossain.

A truck heading from Pabna to Burhimari hit the people on foot after the driver lost control, said the cop.

Dalwar and Labib kicked the bucket on the spot while Sattar passed on while in transit to Rangpur Medicinal School Clinic.

The truck driver and his collaborator have fled, said OC Shankar.
